The Center to Advance Hospice Care (CAHC)is a
non-profit education and outreach organization serving
Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Bucks Counties.
We promote hospice awareness and offer free hospice
education programs, workshops and seminars to healthcare
professionals, family caregivers, counselors, faith-based
organizations, disease-specific associations and their support
groups – to anyone who is interested in learning more about
hospice.

CAHC was founded by hospice care providers who
discovered that hospice is one of the most misunderstood and
under-utilized medical specialties in the nation. (Studies
show that individuals and families who choose hospice care may
in fact represent less than 20 percent of those who
actually qualify for it.) Because hospice care has an
extremely high satisfaction rating from those who have used
it, CAHC believes that if more people knew about it and
understood its benefits, they would be much more likely to
seek it for themselves and their loved ones when
appropriate.
